TOKYO — Britney Hamada, who goes under the title of “homeless comic artist,” made her first foray into the modeling world recently with the fruits of her labor appearing in a double page spread in weekly tabloid Flash’s Aug 25 issue.

Hamada, whose real name is unknown and claims she is 20 years old, has appeared in numerous variety shows this year and spoken about her lifestyle of living in Internet cafes and surviving on potato chips and hamburgers.
Originally from Chiba, Hamada used to commute more than four hours to her hairdressing school, and started to return home less and less because of the distance. She has said that she sleeps in Internet cafes and karaoke boxes, goes to a tanning salon three times a week - where she can shower - and washes her clothes at a friend’s house.
After graduating from the hairdressing school, she found herself drawn to the world of illustration, and decided to pursue a career in drawing. More recently, she approached Flash and offered to pose for them, appearing in several shots including a double page spread. One of the shots features Hamada in a jungle-like scene, with leaves covering her bust, and her indispensable pink suitcase is in tow. Two other shots see Hamada in one-piece lingerie as she models her 85-65-85 figure.
