TOKYO — “Talent” Akina Minami, 20, made an appearance at the Laforet Limited Collection fashion show at Harajuku’s Laforet Museum this week in front of a cheering crowd.
Minami wore a special Hello Kitty and LaForet Harajuku collaboration outfit, complete with a frilly pink mini skirt and ears, to celebrate the character’s 35th anniversary.
Kitty-chan herself also took the stage in a surprise appearance, to which Akina chirped, “She’s so adorable!!” Minami, who turns 20 next May, reflected on her summer memories from this year and commented ambivalently, “I wanted to hang out with my friends and go to the sea, to festivals, but instead I put a lot of effort into working.” |
